BPL looks to future with AXXIA

Leading legal technology provider Axxia Systems has announced details of its latest contract win. BPL, one of the fastest-growing law firms in the UK and the largest conveyancing specialist south of the M4, has just completed the purchase and deployment of the Artiion accounts software.

Commenting on the choice of Axxia, Chris May, BPL’s director of operations, said: “Over the past 12 months, we have grown by 67% and our future strategy is very much geared to dynamic development and business expansion. We need a sound PMS platform on which to base our ambitions and having made a wide sweep of the market, selected Axxia on the grounds of both product and supplier quality. Our overarching requirement is to have real-time management information, tailored reporting and accounts data that supports fast, intelligence-based decision-making. We also want to be working hand in hand with an IT partner that can help us move forward, deliver additional solutions and help us maximise returns from our investment. Axxia and the Artiion application together made a very compelling case.”

Work is also already underway on a project to interface with the existing Solcase case management system. Chris May explains:” We opted to stay with Solcase when it was made clear that we could still engineer key business efficiencies through the development of an API link. This way, data transfer is automated and seamless and with the volumes we are handling, this capability will give us huge savings in time, cost and resource.”

BPL was set up in 2005 as a breakaway from Battens and has grown rapidly in that time. Established as a limited company, it now employs over 110 people across three locations and handles some 15,000 commercial and residential conveyancing transactions annually.
