Axxia, a leading supplier of Practice Management Systems, and creator of dna*, the first Practice and Case management system to be developed on a business process management platform, today announced that Scarborough Borough Council Legal Services has taken a decision to upgrade their existing Axxia Practice Management System to Axxia dna*. Scarborough made the decision following a review of leading practice management systems focusing on the respective product capabilities and their suitability to the Council’s requirements.
The Council had 3 key business objectives for the new system; a continued improvement of the legal services provided, an increased quality of client service and a cost reduction in overall legal service provision. “The Council is continually looking at ways to ensure the highest level of service provision, we were therefore keen to find a solution that was able to assist with these objectives whilst adding value in new areas.” Commented Kerry Russet, Scarborough Borough Council, Legal & Democratic Services Practice Manager. “We looked at a variety of systems and we felt that the Axxia dna* system best met our requirements for flexibility and functionality” she continued.
Axxia dna* is built upon a legal business process management system that gives organisations the ability to tailor the system to their specific requirements. The much improved, easy to use workflow manager and its functionality particularly impressed Scarborough Borough Council staff, as this is considered to be a valuable tool in the management of case loads and increasing efficiency. The system will predominantly be used for case and financial management, time recording, key performance indicators, conflicts checking, workflow (inc Lexcel) and legal business process management.
“We are delighted that Scarborough Borough Council have selected Axxia dna* . As an existing Axxia user we were keen that they fully scrutinised Axxia dna* against other products and didn’t just upgrade automatically, proving that the product is a real market leader. Furthermore, as a result of the tender process, Scarborough have been able to explore the features, functionality and potential business benefits of the system and we are looking forward to working with them on the implementation to ensure the project is a complete success”, said Stuart Holden, Axxia Managing Director.
